At the instance of Messrs. T.G. Humphreys & Co., Hongkong, Liquidators of Messrs. Jebsen & Co., Hongkong, we beg to submit to you the following:
By a pre-war arrangement facilities were granted up to £10,000 to Messrs. Jebsen & Jessen of Hamburg, to be used by their over-sea drafts accompanied by Documents for shipments of Merchandise. These Documents were delivered by us free to Messrs. Jebsen & Jessen who were to cover us for the respective draft-amounts at their due-dates.
The above credit was granted under the joint and several responsibility of Messrs. Jebsen & Jessen, Hamburg and of Messrs. Jebsen & Co., Hongkong, and the respective account shows a debit balance of £1763.15.4 Value 31st December 1915 as per enclosed Statement of Current account.
